Hi Folks,
The reunion was a rousing success. I want to thank all of you for coming...It makes it worth the work to have so many of you there.  I think all  who were there would agree that we had SO MUCH FUN! The Icebreaker at Steve and Dave's was casual and fun. They were wonderful to work with and so happy to have us there. The Elks Club was a great place for the dinner. The place looked great. Dancing to  Merv George always brings back lots of good memories and the band was in fine form last night. Those of you who couldn't make it this time were very much missed.
Let's all keep in touch
Val

Hello everyone,
How fast the years have flown! I'm currently on Sabbatical from my juice fasting retreat business, off to see the world and do things better off done when still quasi-young. Spent the last 11 years living in a motorhome following the geese north in the summers from Palm Springs, CA, where I've spent the winters. I've grown to enjoy a pared-down lifestyle where simplicity is freedom. No children in my life, but I thoroughly enjoyed my "golden years" with my black lab Brandon for 11 years until he died last June. Would love to make it to the reunion, but may be out on the Pacific Crest Trail hiking off into some glorious sunset...the bucket list is long and demanding to be lived.  Would enjoy hearing from any of you, and wish you all great joy and health!

Nice job on the website - thank you to those of you who put in the time and creativity!  I didn't make it to the 25 or 30 year reunions and l have only spent a few months in Eureka since graduation so, now looking through the pictures, I realize that I'll really embarrass myself at the reunion because I don't recognize as many of you as I should.  But those high school years were intense times worthy of honoring at least every decade.  I am especially saddened to read the "In Memory" list, and remember that "there but for the grace of God go I".

I've been a Social Studies teacher at Phoenix High School outside of Medford, Oregon for the last 24 years (thank you Mr. Jay Martin). I am happily enjoying my second marriage of 27 years.  My two children are grown, moved away and college graduates themselves.  I am enjoying being grandma to two little girls, 4 and 3.

I'd characterize my post high school experiences:
decade 1 - gettin' free and making every mistake I could
decade 2 - gettin' my act together with a couple degrees, a marriage and raising kids
decade 3 - gettin' secure with a great job, home purchase...
decade 4 - gettin' free again but no mistakes this time ...travel to Japan, Romania, Germany, across the US
decade 5 - giving  I hope :)

I was married for 25 years, divorced and now am married to a wonderful guy for the past five years.   I have two great daughters,  ages 39 and 36.  I have four beautiful grandkids,  ages 15, 9, 8 and 6.   My husband has four also, making a total of eight.  Wow, how they multiply!
I worked for Humboldt Orthopaedic where I  retired after 28 years.  Since my retirement, two years ago,  we travel long distances on our Harleys.  It's so much fun and addicting!
I am looking forward to catching up with everyone.  Hope to see you there!        Jan

Hello to All Of You!  Where has the Time Gone?  I am remarried and make my home in the Philippines and work abroad, mostly in the Middle East.  Presently, I am working in Kuwait for the Army.  Miss the Stage Band and Water Polo Team and remember them with fondness.
I wish you all continued happiness, good health, and God Bless.

Hi everyone - boy has it been a long time!  I actually never believed I'd live to be this old!  But here we all are.   I have been married and divorced twice and am enjoying very much living by myself now  for the last 6.5 years.  My 4 children are all grown and doing great and I have 8 wonderful grandchildren.  I went  back to school quite a number of years ago and received a degree in Social Work.  I have been working for the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services Public Health Branch as a Health Educator for the last 15 plus years.  I am hoping for a big turnout at our 40th reunion and am looking forward to seeing everyone again.     Sue

I have been a Navy wife for 26 years and have 3 dogs. We have lived in Washington State since 1992.

I have spent most of that time working with soldiers and Army families at Fort Lewis, now called Joint Base Lewis-McChord. I also worked with industrially injured workers for 5 years.

I still love music and spend much of my free time enjoying time with my friends, working with special needs families, helping people who are having a tough time, quilting, sewing, and doing counted cross stitch.

How nice to see the effort towards a 40th reunion for the EHS Class of 1970! I would like to attend and celebrate with everyone how we have made it this far! But I am not so sure I will be able to make the trip from the east coast.

I have lived in Virginia for over 35 years. While I don't don't have redwoods here, I do have the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and an area steeped in history.

I work at the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. McIntire is located on Mr. Jefferson's historical academical village. It changes looks with each season, with the grand Rotunda as its backdrop.

I do enjoy my work, the student interaction keeps me young and I market and brand Commerce Career Services through my photography and graphic design.

I have been married for almost 40 years and have one amazing daughter with two equally amazing granddaughters who are 10 and 13. We live about 5 minutes from each other and I do know that I am lucky and blessed because of this.

My husband, Larry, is a retired carpenter. We enjoy a simple life full of simple pleasures and, again, I am blessed for it!

I dabble in music some, but mostly through singing. I am very involved in our local park where I serve on the board, volunteer and manage our adult lap swimming program.

I wish you great peace and happiness in all that you do!
