Recently I saw a picture of a class posted from the yearbook and it prompted me to want to review our yearbook. Which I no longer have. But I was led to this site seeing pictures of post reunions. I went to my 10th and 20th and that was it. I see the 50th has been delayed due to this coronavirus. I too saw a post about those who have past and reviewed the list. Wow so many gone. Way before they should have. I keep in touch with Teri Langs and Linda Thompson. Teri remains my link to Eureka. Hello to those who might remember me. Hope all are well. Sincerely with warm regards in sunny Sacramento.

Geez-I had the best time. Committee members-you are all awesome. A wonderful job. Thank you for all the hard work and long hours...Merv was fantastic. I boogied on down, around, up, and down. Thanks to everyone for the best dance partners I've had in a long time-we shook, rattled, and rolled. I know one thing-class of 70 knows how to have a great time. Geez, I didn't want it to end. Sorry I didn't see everyone but the one's I did see was fantastic. Hope we can have another in 5 years. 10 is toooo long. The pictures are wonderful. Geez, I'm so serious-thats scarry. Wishing everyone good health and happy hearts.
Take time to smell those roses and never let go of a good laugh. Laughter is the window to the soul. Love you people. Deb-HAHA!

You folks have done an outstanding job putting this all together, I know it is a huge amount of work.  Like everyone said, the "In Memory" list is way to long.  My heart broke when I saw a classmates name on the list, I had been looking for her a very long time.
Thank you all again for your hard work and dedication to take this reunion on.

I am looking forward to the reunion and visiting with my sister and her family who still live in town.
I live in WA State with my husband of 26 years, and our 3 dogs. I work at Joint Base Lewis-McChord with special needs families.
I love music, quilting, working on our house, computers, spending time with my family, including my dogs at the local dog parks, and the beauty in the Pacific Northwest. It reminds me a lot of the way that Humboldt county was when we were growing up. Since I have not been there in 24 years, I am certain that many things have changed.
I will miss our classmates who have gone before us but look forward to seeing those who attend our reunion next month.

Hello fellow classmates of 1970.  Hope to learn of any plans for a 50th reunion this year as I intend to make every effort to attend.  I haven't been good at maintaining connections with you all and figure it is long overdue to make amends with that.   Look forward to hearing from the reunion committee.  Take care, Chuck

Thank you, Mike! Working on the reunion committee was fun and rewarding, and we all enjoyed reconnecting with each other.

What a great time we all had last night, groovin\' to the tunes of the amazing Merv George and enjoying each other\'s company. Thanks to all who came from near and far to make our 40-Year Class Reunion such a huge success.

Don\'t forget to check out the Photos & Memories link on this website to see the latest photos from this weekend\'s Icebreaker and Dinner Dance. If you have pictures to share, please add them to the album.

Signing off for now...Please stay in touch via this website and our Eureka High School Class of 1970 (Eureka, CA) Facebook page.

Hey Committee Members,

I want to thank each and every one of you for the time spent and hard ork you endured to put on this wonderful event.

I believe all of us had a great time.  The only regret I have is that there was not enough time to visit everyone and that can\'t be helped.  It was really nice to see all the people that were there.  To those that travelled great distances to come - I salute you and thank-you!

Hi everyone,

Thanks to the committee for a job well done.  So...the past 40 years.

After high school and after graduating from HSU, I moved to San Luis Obispo.  It was here that I met my husband, John, and we\'ve been married for almost 29 years.  Our daughter, Renee, lives in Portland (also, an HSU graduate).  She has a masters in education and is hoping for a position as a high school English teacher.  Sadly, it\'s tough to find a job, but she is supervising at a non-profit for after-school teen programs.  Our son, Curt, 21, is an airman with US Navy and is stationed at Whidbey Island, Washington.  It is nice to at least have them on the west coast (until he gets deployed somewhere)! We are so proud of them.

I am employed at PG&E and my husband owns an alternative energy store (solar electric systems, woodstoves).  In our town, we have you covered in the energy department!!  We\'ve traveled the world (Vietnam, most recently), we love to cook and remodel(smash)on our house, and we enjoy volunteering with several non-profits and the political scene in SLO.

So I may have gained a few pounds but no gray hair (ok, I color it), but enjoying life to the fullest.  Looking forward to seeing everyone and having a good time.  I love going home!

Outstanding Job on this Website!  Thank Uou!
I was amazed and saddened that so many of us had Passed On.
I wish I could be there to renew old frienships and start new ones, but will be unable to attend.
I make my home in the Philippines, now, and continue to work abroad.  I have remarried and am quite happy.   After High School I joined the Army and went to Vietnam.  (Thank you Chris Colivas {Titus} for all those chocolate chip cookies).    Ater the Army, I took a lot of different paths, some good, others not so good.  But that\'s Life, right?  Happiness and Health seem to be the recurring themes to maintain and it\'s a Blessing to have them.
I wish all of you many more Happy and Healthy years.  Take Care!

P.S.  Where is Don Doan?

Hi everyone, due to work I have missed the last couple of reunions so I am looking forward to seeing you all.

I have lived in Southern Oregon for the biggest part of the last 40 years, can you believe we have been out of school for 40 years? I sure don\'t feel that old.  I have three sons, one daughter and seven grandchildren. They all live in Oregon and I enjoy them all very much. I recently moved back to Eureka to take the Directors job at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. My parents are still alive, so it seemed like the right thing to do. They are both in their 80\'s and need a little more attention, not much they are both doing well. Looking forward to seeing all of you at the Reunion. It will be nice to see old friends.

I never left Eureka, I worked 30 years for Humboldt Creamery, retired from there and now work part time at Humboldt County Office of Education. I have two kids one of each who, after college, both moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. I have slowed down alot and have learned to relax and enjoy life. See you at the reunion!

Hi Folks, I am looking forward to seeing all of you. If you haven\'t submitted a bio and picture, go to the EHS Class Mates section and let us know what you\'ve been up to and provide some pictures. The committee decided to do this instead of a memory book.
Please encourage fellow classmates to attend the icebreaker and reunion and contact us with current addresses and emails.

See Ya October 15th and 16th!

The theme I\'m reading is we can\'t believe we are 58 soon to be 60.  It\'s nice to read bio\'s of those I once knew.  Time has slipped away as we all worked, married, divorced, became grandparents, retired or are still working.  Not sure I\'ll be up, but will enjoy the personal messages and see a glimpse of you again.  Thanks for taking the time.  Susan

I look at the Picture of us ALL standing on the steps of the school and then look at the few names that are on this site and it makes me sad.... even thought I never had the oppertunity to be involved in school activities I do try to remember many to you all...I don\'t even know if any of you remember me.... I know half way across the states... have for 30years. Has anyone heard anything about Kaci Kelly Davis?

Looking forward to seeing all that now wear glasses for...anything. Figures that have changed over time or not. All that have passed before us: Edward (Eddie)Mattos, Candice Liska and wonder where Hunter Jamieson ended up. My son named his son Hunter. Hope Bobbie Clements shows up.

OK,  safe to say I\'m crazy as ever. I didn\'t notice the message box, just the security code after two attempts of entering the codes in the field. I look forward to seeing you all in October. Many Thanks to the Reunion Committee. Job well done. The  In Memory section  touched my heart. So many of us gone. Its hard to believe. Some of these classmates I had known since grade school.
I enjoy reading all your accomplishments. So many have Grandchildren. We have 5 dogs, two fish and Doey the Deer. Busy living life. Hope to catch up with all of you in October.

I missed the 30th and looks like I\'ll be missing this one too.  I\'ve been an avid quilter for the last 15 years and the big quilt show in California is that weekend in Santa Clara. I did make the 20th reunion so I\'m not a total loss. I belong to an "art quilt" group here in Santa Barbara called Fibervision. You can check out some of my quilts at the website.I\'ll be a grandma soon this month.  With twins no less. A boy and a girl. Fun stuff!  I\'ve been married now for 24 years and going strong. Have fun at the reunion. I\'ll be there in spirit.Linda Thompson Cassirer
